The new brand arose ready for the future, created from the merger of Aliansce Sonae and brMalls in 2023. However, the Company’s journey began much earlier.
It all began with Aliansce, which inaugurated the first mall in the Northeast region and the second in all of Brazil in 1975: Shopping da Bahia. In 2004, Aliansce Shopping Centers was created, the result of a partnership between Nacional Iguatemi and the U.S. company General Growth Properties (GGP). In 2019, the merger between Aliansce and Sonae Sierra gave rise to Aliansce Sonae, becoming the leader in shopping mall administration in Brazil, with 32 malls.
On a parallel basis, brMalls followed its successful path since the 1970s, with the inauguration of Conjunto Nacional Brasília. In 2006 brMalls was created from the purchase by GP Investimentos and Equity Internacional of ECISA, EGEC and DACOM, companies focused on mall development and investments. Since the Company’s founding, 43 malls were acquired, there were 30 equity sales, and 11 greenfield malls inaugurated, resulting in a portfolio of 30 assets located in the five regions of Brazil.
Thus, in 2023 ALLOS was founded with the joining of two domestic powerhouses in this industry, coming together to become the most innovative platform of entertainment, lifestyle, service and shopping.
